Hi friends,

it’s been a while, but we’re back with another episode.

Things have been shaky the past two weeks for North American League of Legends fans. After the players voted with more than 90% to walk out and make their voices heard, Riot Games suspended the start of the summer split for two weeks and stated that additional conversations will take place with LCSPA and the teams of the LCS. The season will actually start again today, but questions remain: What did the LCSPA gain? Who holds the power?

Across the pond in Europe, there are similar rumors about a power battle concerning the upcoming Counter-Strike 2. According to some reports, Valve has approached ESL and BLAST at the last CS:GO major in Paris and expressed their wish for the two tournament organizers to abandon partnered leagues (, or else!). Do we have to get the popcorn ready? What would happen if Valve does not grant tournament organizers a license for their game? Who holds the power?

These topics are to be discussed in this week’s episode of FORGE:
